Canada 150: The Art that Distinguishes Us

VICTORIA – Winchester Galleries presents a spectacular exhibition in celebration of Canada’s sesquicentennial year. In 150 years, artists across this country have persisted against politics, ideologies, and personal hardship to create an important canon of work that essentially reflects this place and their time here.

Winchester Galleries will bring forth from its vaults a stellar collection of historic and contemporary work to be enjoyed by visitors to its new downtown Victoria gallery. Among the artists represented will be Jean Paul Riopelle, Yves Gaucher, Emily Carr, Jean McEwen, Sandra Meigs, Harold Klunder, William Perehudoff, David Blackwood, Toni Onley, W. J. Phillips, Joe Fafard, David Thauberger, Deon Venter, Kathy Venter, Brad Pasutti, David Ellingsen, Tristram Lansdowne and others.
