In his newest exhibition, “Life’s Seasons”, Réjean Roy delves into the metaphorical and literal changing of the seasons, taking to his canoe and exploring the landscapes of Northern New Brunswick and his new home in the Gatineau area of Québec. Réjean is keenly aware of his surroundings and in this new body of work, he has channeled his observations and personal vision of the natural world into the bold and colourful brushstrokes on his boards, showing us transformations from cold winter mornings, to the rejuvenation of spring, contemplative days of summer, into the majesty of fall.
In Jason Nugent’s new exhibition, “See”, he brings us along to his places of travel from 2016 and the past year: the Faroe Islands, Scotland, Iceland, and Nepal. An avid outdoorsman and extreme adventure traveller, Jason’s highly nuanced photographs take us on a journey to remote locations throughout the world, to some places most of us may never see in person, and allow us to experience these regions through his eyes. From mountaintop peaks at dawn to treks through freezing temperatures, it is truly astonishing to see the lengths Jason will go to get the perfect picture.
These exhibitions are on exhibit from November 3 – 26, 2017, and always available to view at www.gallery78.com
We look forward to your visit!
