Mid-Year Survey on the Value-Added by Dealers

Arts Economics is carrying out a mid-year survey of art and antiques dealers worldwide. The aim of this short survey is to continue to track the impact on the dealer sector from the COVID-19 crisis, with a particular focus on employment, changes in business structures and highlighting the important role and value-added by dealers in the art market.  The results will be available in a report published this September by Art Basel and UBS and authored by Dr. Clare McAndrew, Founder of Arts Economics. The findings will provide critical benchmark statistics for the industry and key insights into why dealers and galleries remain such a vital part of the international art market’s infrastructure. Your participation plays a vital part in ensuring that their substantial role is properly recognized.

The survey should take up to 15 minutes to complete. We are conscious of the time and effort required to participate in this study and would be very grateful if you could answer the questionnaire by Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

ARTS ECONOMICS DEALER SURVEY H1-2021

The survey is available in English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish as well as in different currencies.

Please note that this survey is strictly confidential and anonymous. The information gained will be used only for research purposes and your individual data will not be shared with any other organization or individual (including Art Basel or UBS). Neither you nor your gallery will be identified in any publication from this study.

We hope you can find the time to take part and thank you in advance for your consideration.
