Kent Merriman Jr. is known for his masterful trompe l’oeil paintings that push the boundaries between two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, and his work often explores decay and the passing of time. Merriman Jr. continues his investigation and presents a new series of works with intricate details, painting the things he loves and by doing so invoking the experience of time as emotion. Before My Feet delves deeper into themes of memory and transformation, inviting viewers to question their perceptions of reality.
