This August, Bau-Xi | Dufferin is excited to share Meditation Robot and the Sailing Ships, the latest solo exhibition by Casey McGlynn. In this body of work, McGlynn continues to transform memory and imagination, where recurring figures become symbols for larger ideas. 

Artist statement:

Meditation Robot and the Sailing Ships is about the absurdity of technology doing everything for us, and how sailboats don’t move without the wind. The follies of humans and the beauty of nature. 

In this show I’m exploring themes of excess, the natural world, conflict and beauty in the primal nature of the earths inhabitants. - Casey McGlynn
