“I am a firm believer in the power and energy of the line within a drawing. I feel I can always go back to the moment if I am truly there in the time of the sketch. I can then produce a starting point for a flow of ideas. This show is a result of revisiting my favorite city of Paris through sketches  found in my studio done 15 years ago and the recent spring trip to Europe. I find the  sketches made years apart have the same immediacy and freshness as a starting point.” – John Lennard
