This exhibition of ink drawings from 2004-2015 represent a pivitol moment in Ashoona's career and contemporary Inuit art. Through this decade Shuvinai Ashoona's now iconic visual language was being developed into what is now internationally celebrated in exhibitions such as the Venice Bienalle (2022). In this collection we see a shift from documenting place and people to fully articulating her unique perspective.
