We are pleased to present Isabella Vella’s inaugural solo exhibition with Dianna Witte Gallery.

In The Performers, Isabella Vella exhibits a new series of paintings composed of an assemblage of dislocated figures, stories, and objects, blending her lived experiences with classical mythological source material. For Vella, painting is always a process of turning memory into personal folklore, using myths and religious iconography as a visual and narrative reference point. In this body of work, Vella’s female characters dance, cry, lust, gaze, and embrace; enacting entire stories and occupying their own worlds. They are captured still, in their respective poses, as if they are performers frozen in a scene.

We will be hosting an opening reception with the artist present on Friday November 8th from 7-9PM. The exhibition will continue until Saturday, November 30th.
