WILLY RAMOS evokes beauty in his paintings. They are light, buoyant, absorbent, and contagious. They are paintings that we want to see and to enjoy over and over. Whether Ramos paints the figure, a bouquet of flowers, a bustling cityscape, or an abstract composition, his colours are vibrant, his brushstrokes are deliberate, and his light is pervasive. Ramos is an artist who indulges himself in a painting. What we feel from his painting is related to how we remember what is most simple and most significant.
