Ningiukulu Teevee is a leading voice in the rise of a new generation of Inuit artists. Her work is equally informed by experiences of previous generations and modern life in Nunavut. She has a deep understanding of Inuit mythology and stories that she shares in her drawings through a contemporary lens. Her first print was released in 2004, and since then she has gained international attention for her work. She was the recipient of the 2023 Kenojuak Ashoona Memorial Award, and her work has been the subject of numerous group and solo exhibitions across Canada and the United States.
