PRESENT TENSE - An Ensemble of Contemporary Canadian Art

Composed of more than twenty artists Present Tense takes the pulse of contemporary Canadian art. Through paintings, drawings,mixed media and sculpture, an idea of here and now emerges. Subjects are particular and plentiful. Individually, each work stands bold and expressive. Arranged in an ensemble, however, they dance: some contrast, others complement. Engaged in conversation, the exhibition challenges the idea of a perfect present: it is diverse, dynamic, impossible to define.
